Alnavit, Wholemeal Rice Couscous, 300g

For fans of oriental cuisine: the couscous made from wholemeal rice flour can be prepared in just five minutes and is a delicious treat both hot and cold. It not only tastes great in salads or as a side dish, but can also be used in a variety of ways: Prepared with rice drink, fresh mango and grated coconut, for example, it makes a fruity breakfast.

Recipe suggestion

• Gluten-free couscous salad (for 3-4 people)
• 300 g wholegrain rice couscous
• 450 ml water
• 1 cucumber
• 3-4 tomatoes
• 3 spring onions
• 8 tbsp olive oil
• 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1-2 tbsp agave syrup
• Salt and pepper to taste

It's that simple: Pour boiling water over the couscous and leave to soak for 5 minutes. Then add the chopped vegetables. Mix the dressing of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, tomato puree and agave syrup and pour over the salad. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Tip: Refine with feta cheese or mint as desired - also ideal as a meal prep.

Preparation:

Pour 130 ml boiling water over 100 g couscous, cover and leave to infuse for 5 minutes. For the savoury version, add 4 tablespoons of oil and a pinch of salt. Then fluff up with a fork.

May contain traces of soya.

Store in a dry place, protect from light and heat.
