Dissolved in a foot soak or in a bath, Epsom salts have a wide range of benefits from relaxing the mind to relieving physical pain, especially sore muscles, cramps and tired feet. Used on hair, they help to give volume and lightness.

The salts have been discovered in the city of Epsom in England (hence the name), where it's found naturally in springs. Despite the use of the word 'salt' they have nothing to do with sodium chloride, the common salt found on the kitchen table.
