Chickpeas were first cultivated 8000 years ago in Turkey. Chickpeas contain a lot of fibres and proteins and they are very tasty. Over the last couple of years, the chickpea has become very popular. Well known dishes with chickpea are falafel and hummus.

Canned chickpeas leave no one indifferent, since they are not only very tasty (they have an original nutty taste), but also healthy. Chickpeas contain large amounts of potassium, magnesium and calcium, vitamins A, C, B vitamins, and important essential acids. It is very nutritious and can completely replace meat.

It is useful to eat chickpeas in order to prevent cardiovascular diseases, the development of cataracts, improve the functioning of the digestive tract, and regulate blood sugar levels. This product gives the body a lot of energy and is indispensable in dietary nutrition.

It is added to cereals, soups, salads. The famous dishes of falafel (in the form of balls, a warm dish) and hummus (mashed potatoes) are prepared from chickpeas.
Organic canned chickpeas can be used on their own or as a side dish. It must be rinsed a little with water and added to the finished dish.
