MOYA MATCHA TRADITIONAL
Moya Matcha Traditional has an intensely green color, a well-balanced bitter-sweet taste and a delicate tea aftertaste. It is obtained from only the first and second harvest of fresh bush leaves, which ripen under special sun protection. Thanks to this treatment, the leaves gain a higher content of chlorophyll and l-theanine and acquire an intense green color. Immediately after harvesting, the leaves are gently steamed, dried and ground into a fine powder after separating the leaves from the stems.
MATCHAWAN
Matchawan was made by hand on a potter's wheel from gray clay with a delicate addition of fireclay and glaze from the glaze made in accordance with centuries-old Japanese tradition.
Matchawan is a traditional tool used in the Japanese tea ceremony. It is also by far the most convenient vessel for drinking matcha, which is best whisked with a bamboo whisk (so-called chasen). The vertical walls of the bowl and the wide bottom allow you to easily and conveniently "whisk" matcha in water and quickly obtain a layer of surface foam. Please note that the temperature of the water in which matcha is prepared should not exceed 80 ℃.
Capacity: 400 ml
Height: approx. 7.5 cm
Diameter: approx. 10 cm.
Handmade, it may therefore differ slightly from the one in the picture. The vessel is dishwasher safe.
BAMBOO MATCHA WHISPERS CHASEN
Traditional Japanese whisk for frothing matcha tea. The whisk is made of a single piece of bamboo, where precise cuts and appropriate binding with cotton thread create delicate tendrils, which, through appropriate shaping, create jasper foam when beating the matcha. Using the chasen, we make movements in the bowl resembling the letter W or M. This allows the matcha to be well combined with water, creating a suspension, and a layer of foam should appear on the surface of the tea. Perfect foaming of tea is possible thanks to the flexible bamboo bristles of the chasen whisk. These bristles are slightly bent in their lower part, and gathered together at the top and finished with a special wooden handle.
CHASEN
STAND The chasen stand is not only a beautiful element of the traditional Japanese matcha set for the tea ceremony. It is a practical tool that helps to maintain the delicate tendrils of the chasen in an ideal shape, ensuring its longevity. The stand is made of black, shiny porcelain.
CHASHAKU SPOON
Chashaku is a spoon used to pour matcha. It is originally made of bamboo wood. Used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony to scoop powdered tea. It allows us to precisely scoop the required amount of matcha. Matcha tea is prepared differently than other types of tea and using a chashaku spoon brings us closer to the traditional ceremony.
