How to Use The Test Strips 

Store test strip containers in a cool dark place. Always replace the cap immediately to avoid moisture. Do not touch the reagent end of the test strip. Dip reagent end of the strip into water. Place strip on a paper towel to remove excess water. Read the test after 15 seconds. Any change in reading after 30 seconds should be ignored. 

Test strips can also be used to read urine or saliva. 

For saliva, test 1-2 hours before or after eating. “Rinse” the mouth with saliva, spitting a few times before spitting on the test strip. Read results in 15 seconds. 

For urine, dip the reagent strip in a urine sample or under the urine stream. Shake off excess urine and read in 15 seconds.

Match the colour of your test strip with the chart provided on the back of your test kit. A number below 7 means that your urine is on the acid side. The lower the number, the more acidic the condition. The ideal reading should be between 7.0- 7.5.
