Mirin is said to go with everything, as the sweet flavour masks meat and fish smells and often brings together flavours in a dish well.

Delicious in combination with other Japanese seasonings, such as miso, shoyu, tamari and sesame oil. Mirin has an alcohol percentage of 14% and is also known as cooking wine.
